A Home Update

Hi readers!

I feel like I’ve been going back and forth so much lately that I’m not quite sure where the last few weeks went. Between work, moving into the apartment and trying to get everything in order, it’s been a pretty busy time.

But I’m finally starting to feel like I’m actually living here now, rather than just moving things from one place to another.

The floor is finally finished, which feels like such a big step. I’ve also finished painting the walls in the living room, and I’m really happy with how it’s starting to look. It’s funny how much of a difference a fresh coat of paint and a finished floor can make. Suddenly, the room actually feels like a room.

There’s still a lot to do, though. I’m slowly trying to figure out what kind of furniture I want, where everything should go, and how I want the different rooms to feel. I think that’s probably one of the hardest parts for me. There are so many things I like, but I don’t want to rush into buying furniture just because I want the apartment to feel finished.

I think I’m slowly learning to let it take some time.

For now, I’m just enjoying seeing the apartment come together little by little. There’s something really nice about watching a place slowly start to feel like home.

I’m excited to see where it all ends up.

Until next time, ♡
